Teen Action

Teen Action is a teen-focused organization that gives teens in Kenya a platform to learn, develop & utilize their talents, while maximizing their potential in order to become the best versions of themselves. Our aim is to empower the teens to become young change-makers who can identify and create solutions to issues affecting them and their communities. We strongly believe in the potential of youth to champion positive change in our country and understand very well that this value must be inculcated in young people at the earliest age possible.
With the world becoming a global village, technology is becoming crucial in order to survive in the daily dynamics of the world. In Kenya, There is a belief that ICT courses are meant for the boy child. This culture and attitude is limiting to the girl-child as ICT is a crucial field in development with regards to dynamism surrounding our today life
As a result therefore, Teen Action is partnering with Swahili Hub and Design2Transform to hold an ICT Day for Girls Workshop, on 30th, April, 2016 to mentor, motivate, and empower, 13-19 yrs. old girls, with knowledge about ICT courses and careers.
