Oracle Academy in India organized a Mega event to mark the International Girls in ICT Day, 2015. It was a real time event in a virtual format on the Cisco WebEx platform. The event was organized from Oracle Bangalore Office.

The International Girls in ICT day, 2015  shaped into a conclave of  women leadership, of leaders in action and leaders in making .

Why we choose the virtual format ( One of the Biggest virtual conclave)

·         To reach out more number of girls beyond metro cities  and to provide an opportunity to interact with women achievers in the field of ICT

·         To demonstrate the strength of technology interventions.

I am reminded of the lines of JF Kennedy  “We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things. Not because they are easy, but because they are hard “. The thrill of trying something new, something big, something challenging is loved by us.

The objective of organizing this event was to help girls to be ambitious, confident, courageous, aspirational demonstrating inventiveness and organizational ability, to shape the knowledge economy and drive innovation at work places. More and more girls are to be drawn to the field of ICT and make it their career.

Agenda: ( 9.15 am to 12.45 pm)

The girls were enthusiastic since they were learning something new apart from their course curriculum and also as a Teacher Coordinator, I also learn some good & new things and I promise that I will definitely make good use of it as far as student is concern or personal development..
Once again on the behalf of all girls I thank you to Oracle Academy team for providing such a tremendous mega event to gain the knowledge on Alice. Thanks.”

·         Mrs Urmil Katoch, KV BAIRAGARH, Bhopal

“International Girls in ICT Day, Mega Event - 23rd April 2015 was a grand success. The Practice Session had motivated & prepared the students for the grand day. The inspirational talk delivered built the self confidence of the girls.
The demo organised in a virtual format has bridged the gap of distance in learning through ICT skills. It has opened the door in education to tap the talents and enhance knowledge by tele-conferencing. This has facilitated the girls especially whose parents are unwilling to send them to far places for safety & security reasons.
Kudos to Mrs Kamal Peter for organising this Mega Event and hats off to the Oracle Fraternity for an excellent web-conferencing.
We will update our ICT in advance format to achieve acme of excellence in education for such future events.”
