Celebrated on the 4th Thursday of April every year, International Girls’ in ICT Day is an initiative backed by ITU Member States in ITU Plenipotentiary Resolution 70 (Guadalajara, 2010) to create a global environment that empowers and encourages girls and young women to consider careers in the growing field of information and communication technologies (ICTs).

Centre for Internet and Society, Bangalore in collaboration with Mitra Jyothi is happy to invite you to celebrate Girls in ICT day on April 25, 2013.

About the Speaker:

Dr U B Pavanaja of CIS holds a Master’s degree from Mysore University and Ph.D. from Mumbai University. He is backed by a vast experience and has dedicated himself fully for the cause of Computer and Indian languages. He is one of the oldest editors of Kannada Wikipedia.
