CANTO Girls in ICT Day Forum & ICT Business Competition 2016

On the 28th of April, CANTO in celebration of Girls in ICT Day, hosted 125 students from Bishop's Centenary College based in Woodbrook, Port of Spain Trinidad & Tobago. A "Girls in ICT Forum" was facilitated on the school's compound and included an ICT Business competition for the students as well as a mini exhibition of local ICT companies and tertiary educational institutions. The mini exhibition showcased the latest products and technologies, as well as information brochures/packages of Tertairy ICT study programmes available at educational institutions in Trinidad & Tobago

The program featured interactive speeches and presentations from successful women in a technological career field who are using ICT to develop and promote their success and that of their organization. For the ICT Business Competition, the students were required to create and present a business plan for a fictitious ICT related company, inclusive of creating a company website.
