Computer teacher since 1997 in Portugal, in the Elementary and Secondary Education Schools.

Master in Management Systems E-Learning for the New University of Lisbon.

Teacher training in the areas - Educational Technologies of Information, School Library Organization and Assessment.

I have participated in several projects in the field of technology in educational contexts, both national and/or international (SETTIC (Internet Project in the 1st basic education cycle), CbTic Project (Basic Skills in Information and Communication Technologies), Acer -European Schoolnet Tablet Pilot, among others).

I was awarded with the Microsoft Innovative Teacher Award in 2008, representing Portugal at the European Forum of Innovative Teachers in Croatia.

I've been ordered into service, twice in the Ministry of Education. The first was at the Centre for Competence ICT School of Setúbal Education through the Directorate General of Innovation and Curricular Development and the second in the Coordination Team, Monitoring and Training of Educational Technology Plan to the Statistical Office for Education Planning.

I have several papers published in the conference proceedings such as "Challenges" at the University of Minho and "TicEDUCA" the Institute of Education, University of Lisbon, in Profforma magazine and often did communication seminars as part of the teaching activity.

I was part of integrated teaching teams of Non-Governmental Organizations aiming to create Digital Educational Resources to foster the use of ICT in Education for Global Citizenship Program.

What would you say are the most challenging and the most satisfying aspects of your work?

The challenge of changing technology as it allows not stop improvements.

Finished the PhD in Distance Education and Elearning

If there is one message you would like to convey to young women to encourage them to consider a profession in the ICT sector, what would it be?

Studying and working in the IT area is a major challenge for women, comes there.
