What would you say are the most challenging and the most satisfying aspects of your work?

Making a difference in the world! Utilizing each platform for "good". Mentoring young women. Crafting public-private partnerships that may be able to provide especially low income citizens access to services and opportunities they may not otherwise have. Having a positive impact on public policy at every level- local to global. Insuring we leave our world in a better place than when we found it!

Challenging: working with those who do not share the above/or the same goals!

What qualifications or certifications did you attain in order to reach your professional goals?

J.D.-Law degree; Continuing education on issues of import to specific position whether learning about satellites and engineering for the issues facing the FCC or  healthcare in order to assist in funding for low income; Became a certified Mediator which not only is a professional goal but also is helpful in every situation with conflict.

Continuous research and writing in order to remain knowledgeable especially concerning the incredible explosion of technology in our childrens' lives and how we can create curriculum and materials to help them navigate this new digital world in which they live.

If there is one message you would like to convey to young women to encourage them to consider a profession in the ICT sector, what would it be?

The opportunities are limitless; every single industrial sector will need ICT employees. You will be able to make monumental changes and find solutions to real problems for real people whether at the local level or globally. You can literally change the world through ICT!
