This section includes the ITU study, A Bright Future in ICTs: Opportunities for a new generation of women, which surveys the global trends in womens’ professional development and employment in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.  The ITU study highlights expected ICT job opportunities, explores why we need to engage more women and offers a sample of the range of national policies, training programs and initiatives targeting girls and women as potential students and professionals. 

Another ITU study included in this section is Digital opportunities:  Innovative ICT solution for youth employment. This report highlights the key role of digital skills in national employment and entrepreneurship startegies. 

Users will also find links to a number of white papers and policy documents from countries or the industry related to women and girls in ICT.

لا مراء في أن مستقبل قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات هو مستقبل مبهر. فما يزال القطاع أرضاً بكراً تتيح الإبداع، والابتكار، واعتماد أساليب عمل جديدة كل الجدة، والتفاعل، والتعلم، وهو ما يُفترض أن يجتذب إليه النساء والرجال على حد سواء. ويحدد معهد المستقبل1 ستة عوامل محركة ستصيغ على الأرجح الأعم شكل القوة العاملة في المستقبل وهي: طول متوسط العمر؛ وزيادة الأجهزة والأنظمة الذكية؛ والتقدم في ميدان الأنظمة المحوسبة مثل المحاسيس وقدرة المعالجة؛ والتكنولوجيا الجديدة متعددة الوسائط؛ والتطور المتواصل في شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي؛ والعالم الموصول بشكل شامل. ويدعم قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات بالتأكيد هذا المستقبل.
