Tayana was born and raised in Haiti. Since High School she has shown leadership and active empathy in her community. As a member of M.E.J. What would you say are the most challenging and the most satisfying aspects of your work?
As professor at the university, one of my challenges in my daily life is to keep going to inspire young students to be involved and to stay in their country in order to participate to its development. The motivation of each project that we initiate is to find the best use of ICT to improve the quality of life of our communities, especially for the vulnerable population.
It is rewarding to train and motivate new generations of Haitian professionals by bringing a refreshing vision and know-how to sustain a long term development vision in the country.
What qualifications or certifications did you attain in order to reach your professional goals?
The ICT sector is an interesting and challenging way to be creative by solving issues and doing helpful things to promote happiness and richness. The ICT sector needs your skills and your sensitivity for grow up.
