What would you say are the most challenging and the most satisfying aspects of your work?

Working in a large company, creating high quality and innovative products that reach millions of users. Working with highly talented and extremely interesting people every day.

What qualifications or certifications did you attain in order to reach your professional goals?

I’ve studied computer science in high school and continued along this path in the army. I joined an intensive 6-months programming course in the army, followed by a military service of 5 years as a developer and a team leader. During the military service I started my 1st degree – BSc in computer science. Later on I joined Microsoft as a software engineer.

During the years in Microsoft I got to know the mobile and social world (in my spare time) and was looking for a way to connect my work with those areas of interest I’ve found.

After 8 years as a software engineer I realized that writing code is not my real passion, and moved to a Program Manager position in my current team in Microsoft, that creates innovative products in the mobile world.

If there is one message you would like to convey to young women to encourage them to consider a profession in the ICT sector, what would it be?

Follow you dreams and passions, don’t be afraid to do what you really want to, don’t be afraid to take risks to achieve your goals and when you choose a path – work hard and put all your efforts in it.
