BigAmbition, is a revolutionary programme whose primary strategy is to attract teenagers towards education and careers within the IT sector.

The initiative focuses on helping 14-19 year olds make informed choices in an inspiring and accessible way – stimulating demand among young people for technology-related degrees and careers plus improving the gender imbalance in IT.

Computer Clubs for Girls (CC4G) – a fun way to inspire and motivate 9 to 14 year old girls with, and through, ICT. Featuring girl-centric topics like music, fashion and celebrity, CC4G develops skills through games and challenges.

Students gain an insight into the relevance of IT and a better understanding of career options from real-world examples and interaction with employers. e-skills UK has worked with employers, as well as educational professionals, to ensure CC4G supports girls in developing the IT skills that will equip them for working life.

Tech products for girls. Since 1999 Girl Tech® has been committed to creating real electronic products for girls ages 8-12. These products are relevant to today's tech savvy girls, they entertain trend setters with cool features, they are authentic in look and play, and they fit the lifestyle of today's on the move tweens.

SET for Sport: London 1908, 1948, 2012
100 Years of Sport Innovation: Showcasing How Science Has Transformed Sport
Portia is pleased to announce the launch of the first event in our latest project, “SET for Sport: London
1908, 1948, 2012”.

This new project will use sport and the attention on the London Olympic Games to inspire and engage
young people with SET by showcasing the many ways in which science can interact with sport, and how it
has revolutionised both sport equipment and performance over the years.

With the support of IMechE, ICE, The Learning Trust, Hackney Technology and Learning Centre and the
Hackney 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games Unit, Portia Ltd will organise an exhibition linking engineering
to both the past and the forthcoming London Events. ICE will cover infrastructure and IMechE technology
and engineering in sport.
