GirlGeeks is an online community for women and girls interested in technology and computing.  The site, GirlGeeks.org, will continue to encourage women to develop their careers in technology, as well as:
Develop GirlGeeks content for training via classes as well as online and video-based seminars.
Even "after the bubble", the world is a new place, and technology for communication and community-building are more important than ever. We want to ensure that women and other often-overlooked groups have the freedom, motivation and resources to participate in this new world.

Find and post jobs in information technology management

The GTech club aims to educate, inspire, and equip high school girls with the skills and resources to pursue opportunities in computing-related field. Students learn coding basics, build exciting projects, and develop strong relationships with mentors in the field. The GTech program also organizes tours to technology companies, bring in guest speakers to talk about their career and what they do, and organize inter-school events.

Girls Who Code is a new organization working to educate, inspire and equip 13- to 17-year-old girls with the skills and resources to pursue opportunities in technology and engineering.

Together with leading educators, engineers, and entrepreneurs, Girls Who Code has developed a new model for computer science education, pairing intensive instruction in robotics, web design, and mobile development with high-touch mentorship led by the industry's top female developers and entrepreneurs.

This isn't a program. It's a movement. Join us as we work to close the gender gap in the technology and engineering sector. We want to hear from you! If you're interested in Girls Who Code programs near you, if you've got a brilliant idea you want to share, or if you just want to tell us how exciting this all is, contact us.

Girls'Net is a South African social and multi- media programme that gets girls actively involved in the use of technology for their development. Our aim is to use ICTs to help girls realize their full potential.
Girls'Net is a project of Women'sNet and was established in 2003. It builds on Women'sNet's past experiences of training 12-18 year old girls in rural areas in digital audio production training during 2002/2003.

The aim of Girls'Net is to grow a girl social movement through the use of ICTs. Girls are the creators of digital and textual information. This information is disseminated digitally (currently Girls'Net link on Women'sNet website) and by script (through the Girls'Net Newsletter called Gist).

In principle, Girls'Net does four things:
1.It opens up innovative opportunities of ICTs to girls
2.It encourages girls to make use of ICTs
3.According to the above, girls are able to be active participants in the "Information Age"
4.In this way, they are able to speak on their own ‘issues' and be empowered

Girls'Net operates in the following spaces: Girls Tech Clubs, Girls'Net website developing), Gist Newsletter.

Our vision is for the Girls Tech Clubs initiative to facilitate the formation of small groupings of girls in all 9 South African provinces who will work together. The meetings are mainly for the mentor and the girls in a club to discuss issues affecting the girls and contribute ways of dealing with them. Girls also have the opportunity to access ICT tools as they learn how to apply them for their own development and hence take part in the social and global activism.

The greenlight for girls foundation ("g4g") is a Brussels-based, international non-profit organization (asbl) under Belgian law, founded in November 2011. We are a volunteer organization with a five-member board of directors who act in strategic and operational capacities.

The mission of greenlight for girls is to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to girls of all ages and backgrounds, in order to stimulate greater participation of girls, young women and career-age women in STEM-related studies and careers. To achieve this mission, we carry out the following types of activities around the world, with a special focus on reaching less-advantaged communities.

a. Girl-focused Events: Teaching STEM, professional skills and interpersonal skills, in hands-on and fun ways, through workshops run by volunteer women role-model practitioners from these sectors.

b. Kid-focused Events: Teaching STEM, professional skills and interpersonal skills through workshops run by volunteer female role model practitioners from STEM sectors. These events are classroom-sized, and reach students, teachers and even parents and other community-members.

c.  Public-Sector Initiatives: Projects and initiatives that promote STEM-related skills -- including eskills and digital literacy -- to young girls, young women and career-age women, with the goal of stimulating interest in these areas and increasing employability of “girls of all ages”.

d. Basic Research on girls/young women in STEM studies and careers: We are about to publish a report on the first-ever such research in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

e. Greenlight Global Scholarship Fund: A grant to provide college-level education in STEM-related areas to girls in disadvantaged communities around the world. Launched in Bangalore, India in 2012.
