Microsoft YouthSpark is a companywide initiative designed to create opportunities for hundreds of millions of youth around the world. Through partnerships with governments, nonprofits and businesses, we aim to empower youth to imagine and realize their full potential by connecting them with greater education, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities. We want to empower youth to change their world.

The MAGiC Mid-Atlantic Girls Collaborative brings together organizations and individuals that are committed to informing and motivating girls to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to encourage collaboration and improve inter-program communication. Our goal is to strengthen capacity, increase continuation of girl-serving STEM programs and create a wider audience for gender-related STEM issues. MAGiC serves Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.

This is an EU-funded project that to encourage more girls to study in STEM fields through gender training for STEM teachers, online resources for girls, and awareness raising initiatives.

Scholarships for women, minorities, veterans, and those demonstrating financial need who join this coding bootcamp.

As a female graduate student you are a member of a minority, and as such may qualify for one of NPSC fellowships. Major fields of study include astronomy, chemistry, computer science, geology, material science, mathematics, or physics. A GPA of at least a 3.0 is required and you must be planning your graduate studies at New Mexico State University, Las Cruces. Awards range from $10,000 to $15,000 per year, and the fellowship is renewable for up to six years. Program to encourage women in STEM focused on young women from countries with predominantly Muslim populations and American students at a consortium of women’s colleges in the U.S. The NeXXt Scholars Program supports these students through one-on-one mentorship led by woman professionals in STEM, online workshops, networking events, and partnership opportunities.

This program will counter the effects of digital illiteracy, which is a barrier to employment. There is an emphasis on "non-traditional" so there is a focus on skilled trade as well.

Offers a variety of resources and workshops for students to develop IT skills.

Network related to the Apache Software Foundation (open source)to help women become active in projects at Apache.

PHP, Hypertext Preprocessor, is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. PHP Women Our aim is to provide a network of support and mentorship to women, help women become more involved with PHP, increase our numbers at conferences as speakers and attendees, and provide a “female friendly” work atmosphere.

Rails Girls - Get started with tech

The of Rails Grils aim is to give tools and a community for women to understand technology and to build their ideas. Theydo this by providing a great experience on building things and by making technology more approachable.

First event, held in Helsinki in November 2010 got over 100 interested girls signed-up for the workshop.

Since then the free events have expanded to Shanghai, Singapore, Tallinn, Berlin, Krakow and many more attracting thousands of girls to the world of web building. Rails Girls aims to open up technology and make it more approachable for girls and women.

The weekend event is free and open to all enthusiastic girls and women. Rails for Girls wants to empower girls to build the capacity and acquire the tools to conquer the last online frontier.

Founded by former astronaut Sally Ride, Sally Ride Science is an organization whose mission is "to increase the number of girls who are technically literate and who have the foundation they need to go on in science, math, or engineering."
