GMS will select 1,000 talented students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. We provide Gates Millennium Scholars with personal and Online Networks/  Training & Internships/  Contests and awards/  Other development through our leadership programs along with Scholarhips/  Online Networks/  Training & Internships/  Other support throughout their college career.

Geek Girl offers tech conferences, workshops, seminars, public speaking and consulting services to empower women and girls at all technical levels.

Fellowship covering all but $1,500 of tuition for students of the UXDI program.  Applications open November 1.

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field. Selected students will receive 10,000 USD (for those studying in the US) or 5,000 CAD (for those studying in Canada) for the 2014-2015 school year. As part of the scholarship, current high school seniors who are entering their first year of university in 2014-2015 will be required to attend Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) in the summer of 2014. Current undergraduate or graduate students will be invited to attend the Google Scholars’ Retreat in the summer of 2014.

Who can apply?
Generation Google Scholarship for current high school seniors
To be eligible to apply, applicants must:
- Be a current high school senior
Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student at a university in the US or Canada for the 2014-2015 school year
- Intend to pursue a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field
- Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for computer science and technology
Exhibit a strong record of academic achievement
- Be a student from an underrepresented group in computer science (African American, Hispanic, American Indian, Female, or a Person with a Disability)
- Be available to attend Google’s Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) in the summer of 2014.

Please complete the online application which must include:
- General background information (includes contact information and information about your current and intended universities for the 2014-2015 school year)
- Current resume
- Academic transcripts from your current and prior universities (if you have earned a prior degree)
- Two letters of reference from a professor, instructor, adviser or supervisor
- Responses to four essay questions

Girl Develop It is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable programs for adult women interested in learning web and software development in a judgment-free environment. The vision is to create a network of empowered women who feel confident in their abilities to code and build beautiful web and mobile applications. 

Provides networking support for women in technology careers, with a long-term vision to influence education of girls in developed and developing countries – mandate varies somewhat depending on local chapter

Four camps organized for girls aged 10-15. The camps are designed around programming of Lego Mindstorms robots to inspire young women to participate in STEM fields by encouraging them to learn in a fun hands-on environment. Please check the website for the latest dates available

Established in Winter 2014, Girls Code Fun is a foundation that exists to invest in, encourage, and empower more school-aged children, with an emphasis on girls, in Poland to gain an interest in technology and to pursue an education in computer science. It offers programming courses for children aged 5-19, and one-time programming workshops for both children and adults.

EDC, in collaboration with partners the Young Women's Leadership Charter School and Spy Hop Productions, has created a youth-produced, Web-based media series and companion educator materials on science and engineering careers targeting girls from underserved groups (minority populations, youth of low socioeconomic status and those with disabilities).

Girls work in pairs to build their robot, then to program it to accomplish a series of tasks. The GTech club aims to educate, inspire, and equip high school girls with the skills and resources to pursue opportunities in computing-related field. Students learn coding basics, build exciting projects, and develop strong relationships with mentors in the field. The GTech program also organizes tours to technology companies, bring in guest speakers to talk about their career and what they do, and organize inter-school events.
