The ICT programme offers Diplomas, a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering and a Master of Science (MSc). The MSc is a research-based degree with a certain number of credited courses. Courses are based on the selected area of specialization. The B.A.Sc  is offered part-time and full-time and includes a final year research project.

Gender and ICT is a proposal by the Research Center for Feminist Action (CIPAF) which has as primary objective of mainstreaming the gender perspective in the National Strategy for the Information Society and the communication of the Dominican Republic (e-Dominican).

This project was presented to the Fund for Gender Equality of the United Nations, and it was one of the 29 proposals selected for funding, from a total of 540 projects around the world.

This project came from the concern caused by the gender digital gap in the country, because even though women make up 61% of the population enrolled in Dominican universities, they represent only 11% of the population who studies science and technology careers.

Why gender mainstreaming in the e-Dominican Republic?
Because women and girls worldwide have benefited less from the new Information and Communication Technology.

Strategies for achieving the objectives:
- Gender analysis in public policy and ICT projects in the Dominican Republic.
- Awareness campaigns to promote the active participation of girls and women and their organizations in the information society and knowledge.
- Elaborate the Plan for Equal Opportunities for Women in the Information Society (PIOMSI).
- Develop advocacy with the National Commission for Information Society and Knowledge (CNSIC) to incorporate a gender perspective during the reviewing of e-Dominican.
Four demonstrative projects are part of this innovative initiative: i) Connected Feminist; ii) Telecentres Gender Equality, iii) ITLA, a Center of Excellence with Equality and Gender Equity and iv) Clubs Math, Science, Engineering and Technology, which are aimed at children and adolescents in the seventh, eighth and high school. As examples there are:

i) “e - girls” and “super maths”
Aimed at Girls and public school students who are
enrolled in cycles between sixth grade of Basic
Level and fourth grade of high school; this through
Math Club, Science and Technology.

ii) Young Women Entrepreneurs Project
The objective of this Project is to promote economic ventures of young students and graduates of career in technology, for example through the Community Telecentres, awareness workshops and training for facilitators of telecentres and cybercafes.
Training in the use of ICT to Women and enhance the work of organizations and Feminist NGOs and Women in general.
